Peru

Solar, transmission and hybrid microgrids for mining operations in the southern Andes.

Snow-capped peaks of the Andes

In Peru we focus on the south, where some of the highest solar irradiation in the world coincides with large copper mining operations. Our team in Lima, with site offices in Arequipa, develops solar plants, transmission lines and microgrids for mines in the Andes.

Siguas Solar, our largest plant in the country, began commercial operation in April 2026. The Southern Andes 220 kV Link, under construction, will connect new generation in Arequipa with demand in Moquegua.

Focus

  • Utility-scale solar in Arequipa and Moquegua
  • Transmission for generation and mining demand
  • Hybrid microgrids at high altitude
